Miranda
Miranda Gavin is a dedicated advocate for maternal and child health, blending her expertise in social work and family support to provide compassionate care to birthing individuals. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Family and Community Services, as well as certificates in Maternal and Child Health and Entrepreneurship. She is set to complete her Master of Social Work (MSW) in May 2025, further strengthening her skills in mental health, trauma-informed care, and holistic family support. As a trained doula actively working toward full certification, she aims to provide client-centered birth support in rural communities where access to care may be limited. Miranda’s approach is rooted in advocacy, education, and emotional support, ensuring that each birthing person feels empowered and informed throughout their pregnancy journey. With a background in social work and experience in medical case management, she strives to bridge the gap between medical care and emotional well-being, fostering a positive and supported birth experience for individuals and families.​​

Kyra
Kyra is a dedicated doula-in-training based in Northeast North Carolina. She is currently a student at Elizabeth City State University, graduating with her bachelor’s degree in December 2025, and then pursuing a master’s degree at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She has a deep love for community service and has participated in several local events—serving others reminds me how powerful support, connection, and compassion can be in transforming lives. She is currently pursuing her DONA certification and is incredibly passionate about walking alongside women during their pregnancy journeys. It brings her immense joy to be a grounding and comforting presence, offering physical, informational, and emotional support every step of the way.
Her goal is to empower women to trust their bodies and feel fully supported during this sacred time. Through my education, service, and passion, she is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of the families she serves.​​

Alexis is a community-centered birth worker, artist, and mother who brings calm, care, and confidence into every birthing space she enters. With a background in maternal healthcare and years of experience supporting families in hospitals, homes, and birth centers, Alexis offers grounded, heart-centered care rooted in compassion, cultural awareness, and respect. As a full-spectrum doula and birth assistant, she sees birth as both a sacred rite of passage and a deeply personal experience. Alexis shows up to serve—with open ears, gentle hands, and a steady presence—making sure each client feels seen, heard, and empowered every step of the way. Her approach blends evidence-based knowledge with intuitive support, ensuring that every birthing person receives the care they need to feel safe, respected, and held. Whether it’s offering comfort measures during labor, helping prepare a birth plan, advocating in clinical settings, or simply being a calm presence in the room, Alexis is dedicated to walking alongside families with love and purpose. As a compassionate and dedicated doula, Jasmine is honored to support families during one of life’s most transformative moments. With a deep passion for women’s health and childbirth, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a heart full of care to every birth experience. She is a birth doula, trained to provide emotional, physical, and informational support throughout pregnancy and labor. Her role is to ensure that you feel informed, confident, and empowered every step of the way—whether you are preparing for your first birth, welcoming a new addition, or transitioning into life after childbirth. She approaches each birth with an open heart and a non-judgmental mindset, honoring the choices and preferences of every family.

Seray is a ​birth doula with experience supporting 7 beautiful births and countless families through one of life’s most sacred journeys. She brings a deep well of compassion, calm, and nurturing energy into every space she enters. Her approach as a doula is centered on support, peace, and empowerment. She believes every birthing person deserves to feel seen, heard, and held physically and emotionally. Whether you're preparing for your first birth or your fourth, she would like to walk beside you, advocate for your wishes, and help create the most peaceful and positive experience possible. Sherita is a DONA-trained doula, childbirth educator, and breastfeeding educator with a deep passion for supporting women on their journey to motherhood. As a mother of three, she understands firsthand the emotional, physical, and spiritual transformation that comes with pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
She holds a degree in Public Health from East Carolina University, where she developed a strong foundation in maternal and child health. Her approach is grounded in compassion, calmness, and care—creating a supportive, empowering environment for families as they welcome new life.

Krysta is a mom of 7, an upcoming women’s advocate, and now your trained birth doula for you and your family’s bundle of joy! For 9 years, she has served as a mother and advisor to her peers and community when it comes to giving birth. Now that focus is being put into ensuring that every family feels supported, informed, and empowered throughout their process. She believes that every person deserves a birth experience where they feel heard, respected, and confident in their choices.

Candice is honored to offer support to growing families as a doula and lactation-trained professional. As a wife and mother to four wonderful children (Amir, Amira, Adalynn, and Aminah), she knows firsthand the joys and challenges that come with pregnancy, birth, and the early days of motherhood.
With 12 years of healthcare experience and personal breastfeeding experience (including nursing Adalynn for 18 months and currently breastfeeding six-month-old Aminah), she is passionate about providing heartfelt, knowledgeable care. Her approach is centered on truly listening, advocating for your needs, and creating a space where you feel safe, confident, and nurtured. Every journey is unique, and she would love to be part of yours! She will be honored to offer hands-on support, encouragement, and a steady presence every step of the way.

Iyana is an ECU Birth Companions-trained doula in the process of becoming certified through DONA International. With a desire to empower individuals and their families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, she tailors her approach to ensure the autonomy and safety of each client. In every experience, her goal is to support you by providing a positive, well-informed
birthing experience through evidence-based comprehensive education, emotional encouragement, physical comfort, and intentional personal connection.
From unmedicated births to scheduled c-sections, hospitals to birthing centers, she believes that every person deserves personalized care and support during such a transformative time in their life. She is here to guide you, ease your anxieties, and ensure that you feel heard, respected, and nurtured as you navigate your birth experience,

Tyra Harrison is a trained Doula and Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). She completed her doula training through SEEDSENC and is deeply committed to supporting mothers throughout their pregnancy and birth journeys.
Tyra’s passion for birth work was born from her own experience navigating pregnancy with limited support and advocacy. That personal journey inspired her to become the advocate she once needed—providing compassionate, informed, and empowering care to expecting mothers.
